ROH Wrestling Recap: Episode 336, Feb. 23, 2018

Kenny King runs into The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas, and Kenny says he’s coming for the TV title again. Silas attacks him from behind and sends him flying into a bay door with a horrific crash. Nice little angle.

A highlight video airs showing how the Briscoe Brothers have been assaulting the Motor City Machineguns. They want their titles back, and the match will happen at ROH’s anniversary show.

Highlights air of the Women of Honor matches for the ROH Women’s Title tournament. I’m not sure if only airing highlights of the tournament matches is the best course of action, because if they want to get the women over they should be having some matches on TV at least. Still, at least they plugged that the whole match can be seen on ROH’s website. On the other hand, the promos were quite nice. Kelly Klein and Deonna Purrazzo both came across as stars. There’s something really refreshing about unscripted promos. Klein and Purrazzo both won their matches and advanced. I think the initial rounds are being shown as highlights, while the semi and final rounds will be on TV.

A highlight video airs running down the matches for the ROH 16th Anniversary show, which is shaping up to be quite the PPV, main evented by Jay Lethal vs. Dalton Castle for the ROH World title.
