Charlotte Flair vs Ruby Riott
Those who have watched NXT know that Ruby Riott is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with. She may not have achieved any women’s championships during her time in developmental, but she wowed fans nonetheless.
So when she finally made her way up to the main roster, some fans were disappointed with how she’s been booked. As the leader of the faction The Riott Squad, Riott has been feuding with the likes of Charlotte Flair Becky Lynch and Naomi lately. Her goal is to show everyone that she’s better than all the other women on SmackDown Live.
This of course caught the attention of Flair, as for recent weeks, she has been going through each of the Riott Squad one by one. After beating all three members, Flair agreed to putting her title on the line at Fastlane against Riott.
On paper, this match is truly hard to call down the line. There’s no doubt that Flair is one of if not the best women’s competitors ever in WWE. She’s beaten some of the best including Natalya, Sasha Banks and Nikki Bella. She’s also racked up five different women’s championships along the way.
However, when it comes to the number’s game, Flair may be at a disadvantage. Unless things are changed, Riott will more than likely have her henchman (or is it henchwomen?) Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan in her corner. If that’s the case then they’ll without a doubt try to interfere at some point in the match.
Two things can possibly happen from this. Either Morgan and Logan will be kicked from ringside by the official. That, or Lynch and Naomi will come to ringside at some point and be in the corner of Flair. Regardless, the numbers game will be a sticky situation for Flair.
Flair is one of the best workers in WWE, so there’s no doubt that she and Riott will put on a stellar match. This is also Riott’s chance to shine and make a name for herself on the main roster. But regardless of how well the match is, it seems likely that Flair will come out on top.
