The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinnie Marseglia, TK O’Ryan) & Shane Taylor vs. The Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Hangman Page, & Marty Scrull) – Ultimate Mayhem

One wrestler from each team starts the match. After five minutes a new competitor enters determined by a coin flip. Every 2 minutes after this, the next competitor enters until all 8 men are in the match. The match can only end when all competitors are in the ring. This is a bit like War Games, just without the cage.

Cody is out as the special guest commentator for the match, and he is avoiding talking about what happened with Flip. Ian asks how Brandi is, and Cody says she’s beautiful. He says she’s fine, and Bullet Club is fine. Cody insists that he’s the leader of Bullet Club, and that he doesn’t need to micro manage the group.

Mary and Matt Taven start the match, and Scrull is insanely over. Scrull handles the early portions of this match, beating up Taven. When the five minutes run out, The Kingdom has the advantage and begin to get the heat on Marty. Vinnie Marseglia and Taven beat on Scrull. Matt Jackson is the next in to even it up. Matt and Marty run wild with fast paced offense, including an awesome superkick spot.

TK O’Ryan comes through the crowd, dressed as a Bullet Club fan, and attacks Matt. They start beating on Marty all over ringside. Nick Jackson comes in and runs wild taking out all three members of the Kingdom to the delight of the crowd, who start chanting for The Elite. Matt Jackson flies off the top rope to the outside putting Vinnie Marseglia through a table with an elbow drop. Matt Jackson starts selling his back. Shane Taylor comes out and starts killing Marty Scrull with knees and a powerbomb.

Hangman Page is the last one in, and he hits a big moonsault on to everyone from the top rope. Matt and Nick Jackson do the same. Everyone starts calling for Marty to do it. He climbs the rope and does it!

It’s a Moonsault Party! This was a nice little call back to all their missed moonsaults at the G1 Special last year.

The action spills all over ringside and they’re brawling at the back of the Hammerstein Ballroom. Hangman Page climbs a balcony and hits a moonsault off the top of it onto everyone! This match is fantastic. Hangman goes for the Right of Passage in the ring, but Shane Taylor is too big.

The Bucks kill everyone with superkicks and the crowd roars. This match is awesome. All four Bullet Club members hit a superkick on Shane Taylor, and Marty hits Taylor with a brainbuster! Holy cow! On the outside of the ring, Page does a shooting star press to the outside into a Meltzer Driver! On the other side of the ring Nick and Marty do a springboard indytaker! Back in the ring, The Bucks superkick TK O’Ryan, and Marty, laying on the ground, catches him with his feet and pushes him back up into a Superkick.

The Bucks hit three superkicks and put O’Ryan over the top rope through a table. Nick Jackson hits a 450 Splash off the top rope to the outside through a table onto Shane Taylor. Back in the ring Hangman Page hits the Right of Passage on TK O’Ryan and gets the pinfall!

This match was insane. Outstanding performance by all eight men. Hangman Page looked like a major star going into his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship match against Jay White. NJPW and ROH have a future star on their hands with him.

Result: The Bullet Club

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This match was simply outstanding. From start to finish it was structured perfectly for the heels to get the heat on the babyfaces. Everyone had a chance to shine in this match, and the guys who are going onto bigger matches at the moment won. Perfectly done. ROH always gives their talent room to shine, and this was a prime example.

Final Thoughts

Show Rating: 3.75 out of 5 stars.

A very solid show, top to bottom. It was very easy to watch, and totally worth watching. ROH is totally worth giving a try, as almost all their shows deliver and provide a very entertaining few hours of wrestling action.
