#4) WrestleMania XXXIII – Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker
One year after his show-closing debacle with Triple H, Roman Reigns once again found himself in the main event of WrestleMania, and once again it was an umitigated disaster.
At WrestleMania XXXIII The Big Dog faced the Undertaker in a match not about titles, not about the streak (which had been ended three years earlier by Brock Lesnar), but rather, about, well, it was never really made that clear by WWE. Quite honestly, it was about trying one more time to give Roman Reigns the rub from a top star, but that’s quite a mouthful to try and promote.
In addition to featuring another boring and uninspired effort from Reigns, this match also showed that the Undertaker was, sadly, not able to put on a Wrestlemania classic like in years prior. This was perhaps best illustrated by a terrible-looking, botched tombstone reversal spot–something that a younger Taker would have been easily able to help pull off. After an almost-comical *four* spears, Roman got the victory over the Deadman.
