Samoa Joe Should Team With Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman recently won a battle royal on Raw to earn himself a shot at the WWE Raw tag team championships at WrestleMania 34. Strowman entered the match alone and is currently the sole number one contender to the titles.
It was announced last week on Raw that Braun will indeed receive a chance to challenge for the tag titles but with one catch. He is required to find a partner to team with against The Bar.
There are a lot of directions that WWE can go with this story. Strowman has been built in such a way that it’s believable that he could actually defeat The Bar by himself. Does Braun choose a partner that he can carry and leave out of the way or a partner that will spark the beginning of a completely unstoppable team?
I want to see the formation of the most unstoppable team we’ve ever seen.
I want Strowman to team up with Samoa Joe.
If the reports are true and Joe is going to be back to in-ring action soon, he needs to be a part of WrestleMania this year if he’s healthy. He debuted on the main roster last year just before ‘Mania but wasn’t included on the card.
Holding off Samoa Joe’s return until the Raw after WrestleMania would be a great way to re-introduce him but I really want to see Joe on the PPV considering he has never competed at “The Show of Shows”.

Think about how amazing it would be to see Strowman and Joe standing side-by-side with a common goal in mind. The two of them have a history and have had some wars against each other. I could see Braun wanting to team with Joe out of mutual respect and the fact that they could take over the whole Raw brand as an unstoppable force.
The Raw tag team division has been in limbo for a while now with The Bar as the only real bright note. Teams such as The Revival and The Club have really fizzled out in recent months. Other teams aren’t even close to being believable contenders to the titles right now.
Considering the state of the current Raw tag division I think it would be great to see Strowman and Joe beat down The Bar at ‘Mania then beat every team on Raw one after another in the upcoming months. After they take out every team (probably more than once) we could see an eventual split and feud between the two that will mean more then than it would right now.
Having such a dominant team basically destroy an entire division isn’t a recommendation I’d normally make but Braun did already technically defeat the whole division in one match a couple weeks back on Raw.
Maybe after a dominant title reign we can see them vacate the titles or lose them to another team that has been built-up between now and then. Maybe it’s the perfect opportunity to debut a team like the Authors of Pain or War Machine? Or maybe the Bludgeon Brothers will be doing the same over on SmackDown which will lead to the ultimate showdown at some point.
