What WWE must deliver in a potential Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz feud

1. Daniel Bryan MUST PAY MIZ BACK FOR MIZ STEALING HIS MOVES!!!!

I have seen A LOT of terrible things in wrestling. Russo-era Impact. Jenna Morasca vs. Sharmell. Kaitlyn vs. Maxine. A reverse battle royal. An electrified cage match. Becky Lynch Riverdancing. Shelly Martinez vs. Rebel. Few things have raised my ire as much as Miz’s substandard co-opting of Daniel Bryan’s “Yes!” kicks. They’re awful. They’re worse than Shane McMahons punches. For reference, here is Shane “punching” Randy Orton. Miz’s kicks are worse than THAT. Let that sink in.

I know that Miz stole the kicks to put heat on himself, and it was a smart move. It works in two ways: he takes the move of a beloved wrestler who was forced into retirement and he doesn’t perform it nearly as well as the originator. Both serve to draw the ire of fans who know that Bryan is the superior worker and thought (at the time) that Bryan would never get his revenge.

If Bryan and Miz have a feud (or even just a one-off match), the leader of the “Yes Movement” MUST cave in Miz’s chest with kicks to pay that part of the story off. Miz should get a kick for every match in which he delivered those soft serve kicks. I don’t have the exact math, but that’s an awful lot of kicks.

If WWE gets nothing else right with this potential feud, they must ensure that Bryan gives Miz the receipt that his character desperately deserves. It’s the one thing that WWE wouldn’t be foolish enough to screw up. Of course, this probably means that Miz will duck the final roundhouse kick and roll Bryan up to win their hypothetical match because, well, it’s WWE.
