Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and The Miz Will Shine at WrestleMania 34

Finn Balor and Seth Rollins delivered what many WWE fans believe is an early match of the year candidate on the April 2 edition of Monday Night Raw. This was not their first encounter of course but it was further proof that when they face off, magic ensues.

Balor and Rollins are built for this and that is the case every time they step into the same ring together. They have a chemistry that exceeds anything fans likely expected and it’s that same chemistry that will help them steal the show at WrestleMania 34.

Fans cannot forget about The Miz of course. Despite how much praise he receives online, Miz continues to be perhaps the most underrated top heel that WWE has ever seen. Though he’s exceptional on the mic and he puts in the work to earn his spot, Miz often finds himself at the bottom of the ladder.

His WWE career does indeed tend to arc without warning. One moment he’s working main event matches on TV, the next moment he’s out of title contention and searching for his place once again. But of all the talents currently working in Vince McMahon’s company, Miz has arguably been the most consistent.

He never takes a night off. He always steps up his game and he never falls asleep during a match. The Miz knows who he is and he knows how to get over. He makes the best of his time and the opportunities he has.

Indeed the WWE Intercontinental Championship has not seen this level of importance in years and that is thanks to The Miz. It’s his effort that has reestablished the title as a coveted trophy in WWE. That’s a good thing for fans that have fond memories of a time when the IC belt was the second most important strap in the company.

But a top heel is no good without top babyfaces to battle and Miz currently has two of the best. Balor in particular has seemingly been on his way up since coming to the main roster. Fans knew he was special when he came to Raw. They also knew he was on his way to great things.

Finn Balor exudes an air of confidence that is undeniable. He knows he’s good. He also knows what he can do between the ropes. Balor always has a smile on his face because he understands that his WWE run is in his hands.

Fans want more for him and they want it right now. But Finn Balor knows that it’s a marathon, not a race. He must keep progressing through the company and doing what he does better than everyone else. If he keeps that confidence and if he keeps working hard, then he will achieve success. But it must happen on WWE’s timetable.

WrestleMania 34 is part of that process. It is the absolute best moment for Balor to add yet another chapter to his ongoing story. His WWE growth hinges on his ability to deliver under the bright lights and the lights are brightest at WrestleMania. He has proved himself capable of rising to the occasion. He will do the same on April 8.

For Seth Rollins, WrestleMania 34 is not about career growth as much as it’s about reminding fans of his main event potential. At one time, Rollins was the man on the red brand. He was the WWE world heavyweight champion. He sat at the right hand of Triple H and he was the king of Monday nights. But at some point, something changed.

Maybe WWE decided Rollins perhaps wasn’t the right guy to lead Raw. Or maybe his upswing was short lived because it wasn’t meant to last. Whatever the reason, Rollins has yet to successfully reenter the world title picture.

But just because he’s not on top does not mean he shouldn’t be. WrestleMania is his opportunity to show the world that his fate lies in his own hands. The work he does to elevate the Intercontinental Championship will in turn elevate his career as well. The company knows who he is and what he can do. Rollins needs only to give fans a refresher course.

Three of WWE’s top hands will compete in this match, which automatically makes it important. Fans love the fireworks. They love a fight and they also love the drama of the characters that play out before them every week on Raw and SmackDown Live.

But what they love most of all is the action in the ring. Pro wrestling is sports entertainment in WWE, but fans know the truth. They know that what matters most are the matches themselves.

WrestleMania is the best night of the year for the men and women in WWE to show what they can do. It’s the night when heroes are born and legends are made. The Intercontinental Championship will take center stage not only because of the title’s importance but because of the three men that will wage war for it.
