4. The New Day vs. The Bar

The tag team division on Tuesday nights has reigned supreme over the tag team division on Monday nights for several months now.  And thanks to the superstar shakeup, the blue brand added even more quality depth to its tag team division.

One of the teams SmackDown got was the standard bearer for Raw’s tag team division for the past year or so, The Bar.  Sheamus and Cesaro were starting to feel a bit stale on the red brand, despite their undeniable worth to the show, and now on the blue brand, they have renewed an old rivalry with The New Day.

These two teams have been going back and forth over the past few weeks, but last night was very crucial to the rivalry.  The teams squared off with the winning team getting the right to choose one of its members to participate in the Money in the Bank ladder match next month.  And as expected, these two juggernaut teams put forth a very solid encounter.

It didn’t get a lot of time, but both teams shined bright in the time they were given.  Xavier Woods stood out the most and he ended up getting the win for The New Day.  Who will join the Money in the Bank ladder match from The New Day?  That is the question at hand and it seems like all three members are viable options.

New Day rocks and there’s a new day on the horizon for one of the team’s members with a chance to gain major singles success.

Final Grade: B+
