TM61 Vs Heavy Machinery

Result: TM61 Win with a roll-up

Grade: C

This was a perfectly fine tag-team match to kick NXT off with this week. TM61 are beginning to grow in their new heel roles well here, and Heavy Machinery are always amusing to watch.

Heavy Machinery dominated the majority of proceedings, with TM61 picking up the cheap victory with a classic foot on the ropes roll-up. The finish means that the two teams will likely face off again in the coming weeks, with the result no doubt being reserved. On the whole, though, this was a fun way to kick off proceedings.

EC3 Vignette

We get a vignette highlighting EC3’s two matches in NXT so far. He is sat by a rooftop pool talking about how he is going to continue to transform NXT into NX3. He hypes his third match in the company. This was a great little segment, with EC3 really feeling like a huge star on the brand. I don’t see it being like before he holds gold on the brand, or even moves up to the main roster.

That being said, it would be nice to see him given a proper feud. His character work is top notch, and he is very talented in the ring, he could make an opponent look a million bucks, and it would really help set him on the path to glory on the brand.
