Versus Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage with Ric Flair at WCW Slamboree – May 21, 1995

By the time 1995 came around, Vader’s run with WCW was nearing an end. He had been involved with a storyline against Hulk Hogan and was unable to get a victory over the Immortal One. At Slamboree in 1995, Vader would join forces with Ric Flair, a pairing that brought together two former foes, to face off against Hogan and Randy Savage in a tag team main event.

This was an interesting pairing as Savage and Flair met the requirement for technical mastery, while Hogan and Vader were the powerhouses in the match. That’s exactly how the bout played out; showcasing their strengths for the nearly 20 minute match. These four men were already legends back then, with Hall of Fame quality careers. Seeing them battle it out in this tag team match was a treat at the time that can still be appreciated today.
