Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Is It Madison Rayne’s Time?
8. Tessa Blanchard
Let’s pick up that thread here with a brief discussion of Tessa Blanchard, who has easily become one of the most discussed wrestlers in Impact. She recently inked a reported two-year contract with the company, affirming her commitment to the show she first joined at Redemption.
Blanchard’s win record figures to rise as a result of the signing being official, and a future rivalry with Rosemary beckons. That could honestly be one of the biggest feuds in wrestling for months if Impact plays their cards right, and given how well they’ve done so far in 2018, I’m sure they’ll end up with a Royal Flush.
Until then, she has a huge challenge next week against Allie, who simply won’t back down from a fight, no matter how confident or talented the opponent. She was an excellent Knockouts Champion this year before losing the title to Su Yung at Under Pressure, and she’s continued to be a huge bright spot on Impact despite no longer being champ.
7. Killer Kross
What more to say about Killer Kross that hasn’t already been said? His debut hit all the right notes, and Impact has handled his character perfectly. Feuding with the beloved Petey Williams is the right decision, and their first match together should be spell-binding. The story-telling that Williams is capable of is top-notch, as we saw at Redemption when he faced Sydal. Kross is in a great position, but it will be interesting to see how far he can go.
