The Queens of the Carolinas should cement her status as the future of the Knockouts Division with a win at Slammiversary 2018.

After competing in the Mae Young Classic last year, it seemed like Tessa Blanchard signing with WWE was an inevitability. So naturally, it came as a shock to many wrestling fans when she showed up in Impact Wrestling this past April at Redemption. Now, ahead of Slammiversary 2018, it turns out she’s signed a two-year contract to join the Knockouts division. Her first big test as a full-time roster member comes in the form of former Knockouts Champion, Allie.

Given the stacked card, it’s a match that on paper, looks like it could get lost in the shuffle. With eight exciting matchups slated for Sunday’s show, it’s a fun time for Impact fans. But there’s no reason these two women can’t steal the show. A performance acclaimed enough to earn the credit of show-stealer means both competitors come out looking strong on either side of a win or a loss.

With that said, Allie has been around the block more than once in Impact Wrestling. A defeat here won’t bury her or tarnish her legacy, especially if the two put on a stellar match. Tessa’s only just getting started. A victory here for the company’s new Diamond would help her — awful pun incoming — make an IMPACT.

Ok, but in all seriousness, bad puns aside, there’s a number of reasons why Blanchard should march triumphantly out of Slammiversary 2018. There’s at least three. Probably more. But definitely no less than a triumvirate of points that can be made to support this argument.
