EC3 vs. The Velveteen Dream

After Velveteen Dream dispatched of Chris Dijack on the July 4 episode of NXT, his celebration was quickly cut short by EC3’s entrance, with Dream slinking away as the one-percenter marched toward the ring. It was subtle, but it indicated that their issue — which started when Dream walked out on EC3 in a tag match — is far from settled.

Based on the last few weeks of TV, it looks like EC3 will be the babyface in this feud, although I think that both men will receive their fair share of cheers if and when this match takes place. Either way, both men are more than charismatic enough to make this storyline one of the more entertaining ones in recent memory.

Since wins and losses actually matter in NXT — unlike the main roster — I expect that the winner of this projected match will get either a North American Championship or NXT Title match in the near future. I also expect that these two will put together an entertaining spectacle for the fans in Brooklyn. They won’t have to pull out any crazy moves to do so, but they will win the crowd over with their psychology and strong character work. I can’t wait.
