WWE: Braun Strowman Launches Kevin Owens Off The Steel Cage
Although Braun Strowman is a babyface, his obsession with Kevin Owens is bordering on homicidal, to the point where Sami Callihan must be interested in recruiting “The Monster” to oVe.
After destroying Owens’s car and throwing the man off the stage while he was inside a Port-a-Potty, Strowman once again threw KO off of something REALLY tall at a Pay Per View. Just a month before, Strowman nearly ended Owens’s life by throwing him off of a ladder, and he decided to up the ante by shoving Owens off the top of a steel cage.
Because of this, Owens won the match, but it certainly didn’t feel like it. Strowman told Mike Rome in a backstage interview to congratulate Owens on his victory while he was on his hosptical bed. As Ron Simmons would say, “Damn!”
IMPACT: Killer Kross Makes His Debut
For weeks, members of the Impact Wrestling roster were assaulted from behind with no trace of the attacker. All that was left behind was a mysterious, red insignia.
In July, we got to see the debut of the man behind the attacks – the intimidating and merciless Killer Kross. He immediately started feuding with Petey Williams, but I use “feuding” loosely here. It was more like Kross was toying with the former X Division Champion, making the babyface look more like a mouse and less like a wrestler capable of going toe-to-toe with the best that the company has to offer.
Kross figures to play a big role in Impact going forward, and his July introduction deserves mention as one of the top 50 moments in wrestling this month.
