They call AJ Styles “The Phenomenal One” for a reason; he is, of course, phenomenal. It’s genuinely hard to think of a true dud of an AJ Styles match. Maybe the Kevin Owens feud from last year, but that could also be because it was injected with the traditional McMahon drama that the WWE loves to put into just about everything.

Getting back on track, Matt Riddle needs a full-fledged program with Styles once he gets to the main roster. Riddle’s striking mixed with AJ’s amazing athleticism would make for a great clash of styles (no pun intended). Styles can work with anyone, and a match with someone as talented as Riddle would be great to send him into the twilight of his career.

Again, the character work in this feud could be the highlight of the whole thing. While the match would more than likely be stellar, the people of this story would make the feud. Both are main event talents, and with AJ’s latest promos being some of the best mic work of his career, he could work wonders with Riddle. It’s hard to have a bad match with AJ Styles, and it’s hard to have a bad match with Matt Riddle. How, exactly, could this feud go wrong in any way?
