There will be a lot of fans who disagree with this one but Reigns has been one of the most consistent performers in the WWE over the past few years.

He has had excellent matches with the likes of Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and many others, and he deserves a run with the company’s top belt.

Reigns is a solid performer between the ropes and while he is not exactly The Miz, he is becoming increasingly capable on the mic.

Sure, Reigns is Vince’s handpicked champion but he has proven his worth more than many others who fans tout for a title run, and he has, despite what live audiences tend to think, proving that he is capable of holding a top title.

Reigns taking the belt from Lesnar makes a ton of sense, and while Lesnar has defeated Reigns twice this year already, he is still one of the more legitimate challengers to The Beast Incarnate’s record-breaking reign on the main roster.

Reigns’ run with the belt doesn’t have to be a long one, and with Braun Strowman or Kevin Owens waiting in the wings with The Money in the Bank briefcase, it likely won’t be, but it would be a nice reward for the work he has put in during the two years since he last held a top title.
