Raw is severely lacking in the heel department

As previously noted, the 2018 Superstar Shake-up wasn’t too kind to Raw. Samoa Joe and The Miz were sent to SmackDown Live while Raw picked up the likes of Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin in return, so it wasn’t exactly a fair trade in terms of heels.

Granted, Raw also scored SmackDown’s Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, but neither of them have been lighting the world on fire on Monday nights. Zayn will be sidelined from in-ring action for the remainder of the year with multiple injuries, while Owens hasn’t been booked too strongly in his feud with Braun Strowman.

WWE has at least three wrestlers who could turn heel tomorrow and thrive in the role (Roman Reigns, Bobby Roode and Bobby Lashley), but apparently the company isn’t interested in changing any of their characters. That’s where Jason Jordan comes in, especially since he was well on his way to going rogue before he was taken off TV, anyway.

Jordan showed on countless occasions that he was much more comfortable as a heel than as a babyface, not to mention that he’d be infinitely more interesting than either Mahal or Corbin at the moment.
