2. Ronda Rousey

For a superstar that was pretty highly criticized upon her debut, Ronda Rousey has silenced the doubters in the months that followed.  She has been tremendous so far in her short WWE career, but the biggest opportunity to date awaits at SummerSlam.

Rousey had a Raw Women’s Championship opportunity at Money In The Bank in June, but thanks to Alexa Bliss’ eventual Money in the Bank cash-in on Nia Jax, Rousey did not capture the title.  She took her anger out on GM Kurt Angle and Bliss the following night on Raw and was subsequently suspended for 30 days.

But since her return, Rousey was given a Raw Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam against Bliss.  The match that felt inevitable is finally here and despite Bliss only having the title for a relatively short amount of time, the time has come for the most popular superstar in the women’s division in the WWE to reach the pinnacle.

The Baddest Woman On The Planet needs to win at SummerSlam and leave no doubt in the process.  It doesn’t need to be a squash match, but Bliss’ crafty heel ways of winning can’t interfere here.  Bliss has felt like a transitional champion ever since cashing in at Money In The Bank, so there’s no better woman to transition to than Rousey right now.

The WWE knows it has something special in Rousey, so crowning her as the new Raw Women’s Champion at the biggest party of the summer just makes sense.
