WWE Raw Power Rankings: Dean Ambrose Evens the Odds for Seth Rollins
By Bryan Heaton
20. Alexa Bliss (last week: not ranked)
I’ve been leaving Alexa Bliss off the weekly power rankings for a while now, because it seems like she’s the least important person in the women’s division. Not the best look when you’re also the Raw Women’s Champion.
But while Ronda Rousey is the fiery newbie looking to win the title, and Sasha Banks and Bayley are chumming it up again, and the Riott Sqaud is back to full strength, Bliss’s whole thing seems to be “talk a big game, but let my friends fight my battles.” That changed a bit this week with her stepping into the ring, but that wasn’t the best thing she did this week.
No, the best move Bliss made was hiring four dudes for Ronda Rousey to kick the snot out of. That’s enough to get you into my top twenty.
19. Bobby Roode (last week: 14)
Two wins in a row on WWE Raw for Bobby Roode keeps him in the power rankings for the week. Wrestling in a meaningless six-man tag match before not having a match at the Biggest Party of the Summer keeps him towards the bottom of the list.
It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of how the Roode-Mojo Rawley feud has played out over the last few weeks. There’s little to no reason for Roode to get the leg up, given the way he’s been booked over the past, well, his entire run on Raw. After a win last week in singles action, you’d think he’d be 50/50’d to death this time.
Instead, Rawley drags the Authors of Pain down with him, as he gets pinned by Roode for the second week in a row. I guess that whole “Rawley is on fire” thing was a figment of my imagination, and he’s another loss away from groveling for forgiveness from Zack Ryder.
