4. Charlotte Flair And Becky Lynch vs. Mandy Rose And Sonya Deville

Much like what Sasha Banks and Bayley have done over on Monday nights, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have done on Tuesday nights to a lesser degree.  They haven’t been through counseling or went through a rough patch, but Lynch and Charlotte are on the same page heading into a match where they won’t be on the same page.

Lynch thought she had Carmella in a one-on-one match at SummerSlam for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but with Charlotte defeating Carmella a couple weeks ago, that match became a Triple Threat Match and Lynch’s chances to win seemingly decreased.  This could have pushed their friendship over the edge, but Lynch and Charlotte are still in sync with each other.

That was apparent last night when the two teamed up to battle Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville per the orders of GM Paige.  And for a last-second type of tag team match, this turned out quite well.  Both sides really shined and made sure they left an impact, but the ending was particularly telling heading into SummerSlam.

The Irish Lass Kicker could have tagged in Charlotte, but instead she got a second wind and was able to win the match for her team.  This was a key finish that could be foreshadowing what’s to come at SummerSlam where, regardless of their friendship, Lynch seems desperate to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.  As far as just this tag team match goes, it was a solid one that actually got a good amount of time.

The Queen and The Irish Lass Kicker made a great team last night, but at SummerSlam, it’s every woman for herself.

Final Grade: B+
