Cruiserboys vs WWE Superstars

Two big issues with 205 Live coincide with each other:

1) All of the stars are on the main roster, and not 205 Live.

2) There’s no urgency in watching a 205 Live episode.

Since none of the 205 storylines and matches bleed into major WWE storylines or pay-per-views, there’s no reason to regularly watch 205 Live. Sure, it’s a good show, but with so much WWE content to keep up with, it’s an easy choice to trim the fat, and catch highlights at a later date.

The best way to turn 205 Live into must see content is to allow some of the WWE Universe’s best superstars to make guest appearances on 205 Live, and vice versa. Something like this helped NXT find its footing. At a time when the roster was filled with unfamiliar rookies still in development, early episodes featured guest appearances from the likes of CM Punk, The Usos, Rob Van Dam, and AJ Lee.

This helped bring more casual eyes onto the NXT product, and the same could work for 205 Live. Imagine how high the show’s ratings may soar if Finn Balor challenged for the Cruiserweight Championship for one episode, or if Elias wanted to serenade the 205 Live roster with a song. Or even if Seth Rollins had his IC Open Challenge answered by someone from the 205 Live roster on Raw.

It’ll certainly get more people talking about the show than they are now.
