Salina de La Renta has hit a rough patch with the loss of the MLW World Tag Team Champions from her employ, but she looks to find a foothold with a new hire. Can she build some momentum behind Promociones Dorado before War Games?

In a pre-taped interview, Tommy Dreamer presents a brief history lesson of his career. He hits on two key points – his first main event at Hardcore Heaven 1997 against Jerry Lawler and his first time teaming with “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, both of which occurred at the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium. Dreamer asks Sami Callihan, “what are you going to do to me that hasn’t been done before?” Dreamer ends by letting Callihan know that on September 6 he will once again become “The Innovator of Violence” inside of the two-ring cage as Dusty Rhodes watches down from above.

Ricky Martinez Debuts

Salina de La Renta is out with a new acquisition in Ricky Martinez. Martinez quickly dismantled his opponent, who received no intro, complete with giving everyone a clear shot of the poor guy’s buns before putting him away with his finisher. This match served as more of a backdrop to the ongoing saga between Konnan and Salina de La Renta.

Tony Schiavone and Rich Bocchini delve more into the issues between the Lucha Bros and de La Renta with claims that the head of Promociones Dorado had been skimming money off of the top, all of which was illuminated by Konnan’s junior detective work. With de La Renta having lost the MLW World Tag Team Champions from her camp, she now must begin to pick up the pieces and restructure her promotion in an attempt to stay on top.

Weeks ago, de La Renta dismissed Sammy Guevara from her Rolodex but looks to put herself back on the map when she leads LA Park into a Mexican Massacre Match with Pentagon Jr at War Games. She will also head into battle with Low Ki as he defends the MLW World Heavyweight Title against Rey Fenix the same night. September 6 is a make or break night for de La Renta and her future as a major player in MLW.
