4. The Bar vs. Luke Gallows And Karl Anderson vs. The Colons

The tag team scene on Tuesday nights has been stellar for a while now, but with the real-life injury of Rowan of The Bludgeon Brothers, a top team is now out of the picture for the time being.  New challengers for The New Day will have to be discovered and last night got started in doing just that.

The first match of last night’s show saw a Triple Threat Match between The Bar, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and The Colons with the winning team going on to face the winner of next week’s Triple Threat Match between The Usos, SAnitY, and Rusev Day.  And besides the fact that The Colons haven’t been on TV in what feels like years, this was a pretty good match.

It started out a bit slow, but things got going towards the end when it looked like every team had a chance to win.  It even seemed like The Colons had a chance, but Sheamus and Cesaro would take care of business and they went on to win the match and advance to the number one contender’s match sometime in the near future.

The Bar has yet to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championship since coming over to the blue brand, but it seems like it will have a great chance soon.  Next week’s Triple Threat Match has three solid potential winners, but no matter who wins, that team should be able to have a memorable showdown with Sheamus and Cesaro.

They don’t just set the bar, they are The Bar and The Bar has tag team gold on its mind after a solid showing last night.

Final Grade: B
