4. Cesaro vs. Kofi Kingston

The New Day joined the five-time club a few weeks ago when the colorful trio became SmackDown Tag Team Champions.  And since turning back the challenge of Rusev Day at Hell In A Cell, Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods now have to deal with another formidable tag team in less than three weeks.

The SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be on the line when The New Day defends against The Bar at Super Show-Down, but last night was all about singles action.  Kingston of The New Day battled Cesaro of The Bar in a match to give one of the respective teams momentum and for two of the most underrated superstars in the WWE, they impressed in a relatively short amount of time.

Kingston is one of the longest-running superstars in the WWE and Cesaro has had singles success in the past as well, so they did as much as they could have done in a five to 10-minute match.  The action was fast-paced and stellar throughout the majority of the match, but in the end, The Bar got raised when Cesaro got the win over Kingston with Super Show-Down looming in under three weeks.

These teams have a solid history together given how The Bar ended The New Day’s record-breaking tag team title reign a couple years ago.  Fans should probably expect another singles match between these teams in the weeks to come given how each member of the teams are so individually talented.

Will history repeat itself with The Bar dethroning The New Day?  Last night was a step in the right direction.
