2. Raw Tag Team Division Puts Forth Its Best Match In A Long Time

There hasn’t been a bigger changing of pace than what the Raw tag team division has gone through over the past year-plus.  The days of established teams have been long gone on the red brand and the days of makeshift teams have arisen to a point where many don’t care about the division.

However, the rise of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre has changed the game within the red brand’s tag team division.  They defeated The B-Team for the titles a few weeks back and successfully retained the titles in the rematch, but last night saw Ziggler and McIntyre defend the Raw Tag Team Championship again against the team that they screwed out of a championship match a few weeks ago, The Revival.

Many still wonder if The Revival will ever win the Raw Tag Team Championship, but during this match, it felt like it could happen.  In a tremendous tag team match, these two teams reminded fans that the Raw tag team division can still have its fair share of excellence from time to time.  It went back and forth and greatly impressed, but Ziggler and McIntyre managed to escape with their titles.

It remains disappointing that The Revival still hasn’t captured tag team gold, but this match was a step in the right direction for the tag team division on Monday nights.  This was easily the best tag team match the brand has put forth in a long time, and it may have been the best tag team match the brand has had in 2018.

There’s no telling if this momentum will continue, but the red brand’s tag team scene could be on the uprising.
