SmackDown 1000: Six Superstars Who Need To Make An Appearance

The Rock
Out of everyone on this list, The Rock is easily the biggest long shot given how busy he is in Hollywood and with other endeavors these days, but he should never be ruled out completely for he knows how to make a shocking return better than anyone.
Rock’s last appearance with WWE came at WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Erick Rowan in a matter of seconds. There really hasn’t been any reason for him to be brought back since then (not to mention he hasn’t been available), but SmackDown 1000 would hardly be a proper celebration without The Great One involved in some form or fashion.
Lest we forget, Rock was the originator behind the term “smackdown” and thus it’s safe to say the show wouldn’t have even been created had it not been for him. WWE managed to get him to be a part of Raw 1000 in July 2012, so it’s only appropriate if he appears at SmackDown 1000, too.
With there being speculation that Rock could be wrestling in a marquee match at WrestleMania 35 come next April, SmackDown 1000 would be as good of a time as any to kick off the build to whatever bout he ends up competing in. A pre-taped promo from The Brahma Bull (a la SmackDown’s ten-year anniversary in 2009) would be acceptable as well, but to leave him off the show entirely would be a mistake.
