3. Dean Ambrose Is Compelling Enough By Himself

The injury bug bit Dean Ambrose big time towards the end of 2017 to the point where he missed nearly a year of time, but since The Lunatic Fringe has returned, he has been back to his old self alongside his brothers in The Shield.

Are things actually as peachy as they look, though? If the past couple weeks tell us anything, it appears as if there could be friction among The Shield. On last week’s show, the camp of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre insinuated that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are using Ambrose and that The Shield needs Ambrose more than Ambrose needs The Shield.

Last night’s show opened up with Ambrose in the ring being interviewed about last week and in typical Ambrose fashion, he was a bit unstable in his response. It was a very compelling promo that ultimately led to Ambrose saying The Shield isn’t a business, it’s a brotherhood and he will stand by his brothers. Following this, The Lunatic Fringe had a match with Strowman that didn’t turn out well in the end.

The match turned into a disqualification finish when Reigns and Rollins came out to try and defend Ambrose from the Dogs Of War, but it didn’t sit well with Ambrose backstage. He had a few words for both Reigns and Rollins throughout last night’s show and he said if he wasn’t such a nice guy, he could be the Intercontinental Champion and the Universal Champion after hearing acting GM Baron Corbin’s offer.

Say what you want about this storyline, but The Lunatic Fringe is compelling enough by himself and fans might have forgotten how good he can be as a solo act.
