4. R-Truth And Carmella vs. Andrade Cien Almas And Zelina Vega

The unexpected duo of R-Truth and Carmella has been a breath of fresh air on Tuesday nights over the past few weeks.  Fabulous Truth has a shot to win the Mixed Match Challenge, but on the SmackDown brand, both Truth and Carmella have been busy.

Last week saw an interaction with Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega which led to last night’s mixed tag team action pitting Fabulous Truth against Almas and Vega in the show’s opening match.  This match was quite entertaining and fun to watch, even if it wasn’t the technical masterpiece fans usually see in matches involving Almas.

It felt like either team could win and it went down to the very end, but it turned out that The Princess Of Staten Island proved to be the difference maker for Fabulous Truth.  Carmella countered Vega into a submission hold that proved to be the difference with Vega tapping out, giving Truth and Carmella the win.

This team has been so much fun to watch in recent memory and seeing the career resurgence of sorts from R-Truth has been great to see.  Carmella was a great heel in recent months, but she has been a solid babyface lately since she teamed up with Truth.  Who knows where this team can go, but it should be interesting to see what the future has in store.

This was a pretty good mixed tag team match that was enjoyable to watch and see the antics from both sides.

Final Grade: B
