Sydal/Page vs. Swann/Mack Prediction: Sydal and Page

It’s a feud that came pretty much out of nowhere and left you wondering where exactly these two men stood with each other for a bit, but now Matt Sydal and Rich Swann definitely know where they stand. For weeks Sydal has begged Swann to be his protege until Swann just couldn’t take it any more. Now with the help of Ethan Page and Willie Mack, we’ve got ourselves a match.

I truly think there’s a lot more Impact can do with the “Matt Sydal trying to mentor people vibe”; I think it’s a fun, safe heel technique, and it can absolutely help line up a few more good feuds for Sydal after this. Therefore, I think making Sydal and Page victorious in that match would be necessary to give Sydal’s methods a little more legitimacy going forward.

I also feel that Swann’s career in Impact is still so new that a loss to Sydal at Bound For Glory wouldn’t stop his momentum. He’s still got time to create good feuds that will give him more meaningful wins. To me, it really comes down to that fact – Sydal could use the win here, and Swann can wait for it.
