8. London & Kendrick vs The Hardys vs MNM vs Regal & Taylor – Armageddon 2006

Originally, heading into Armageddon 2006, Paul London & Brian Kendrick were scheduled to defend their titles against William Regal & Dave Taylor, but since SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long was feeling the Christmas spirit, he decided to add a little extra spice to the match to satisfy the loyal ppv buyers, and the paying customers in attendance.

He added two more teams to the match – Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury of MNM, and Matt & Jeff Hardy – and turned the Fatal Four Way into a Ladder Match.

This match is infamous for the cringey, grueling spot where Mercury’s nose was broken over a ladder. While that moment will forever be ingrained in our minds as the sole reason to remember this match, that should not take away from just how entertaining this match is.

For one thing, it gave us the first and only meeting between two of the most exciting high flying tag teams in WWE. It also gave us some insane, death defying spots with and atop of ladders.

The match reached a thrilling conclusion when Kendrick hit Regal with a Sliced Bread off the ladder, which allowed London to climb up and pull down the titles.
