4. The Usos vs. AJ Styles And Daniel Bryan

Super Show-Down was a key night for the outlook of the WWE Championship with two major matches taking place.  AJ Styles successfully defended his title against Samoa Joe while Daniel Bryan defeated The Miz to become the number one contender for the gold.

It will be Styles vs. Bryan at Crown Jewel in under three weeks with the richest prize in the game on the line.  Two of the purest babyfaces in the WWE have mutual respect for each other, but both will be looking to walk out of Crown Jewel as champion.  Last night saw them compete as one when Styles and Bryan teamed up to battle The Usos in tag team action.

The Usos haven’t had much to do in recent memory, so seeing them team up against two of the best in the WWE was a big match by most accounts.  It went well from the start with Jimmy and Jey controlling the pace of the match and cutting the ring in half.  But towards the end, everything changed when it looked like Styles and Bryan had the match in their favor.

A bit of miscommunication wound up costing Styles and Bryan and after Bryan accidentally hit Styles, The Usos took advantage and hit Bryan with a double superkick to get the win.  This was a solid tag team match that probably could have benefited from being longer, but given the circumstances surrounding last night’s show, it makes sense in being a bit shorter.

The issues with The Phenomenal One and The Yes Man are present even with mutual respect and last night shined a light on those issues.

Final Grade: B
