WWE Smackdown Live Power Rankings: October 23rd, 2018

T-8. Charlotte & Becky Lynch

One of the most disappointing parts of Smackdown was the absence of both the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Instead, Smackdown showed footage of an altercation that happened between the two at the WWE Performance Center a few days ago.

This was unfortunate, to say the least. These two deserve a higher ranking on this list and I would love to give it to them both. Although having Smackdown’s main event competitors at Evolution absent on the go-home show leads to a lower placement. Even if it was a quick moment, the lack of both really hurt the show.

7. The Miz

Last week, with the outside interference of Aiden English and a handful of tights, The Miz won his spot in the WWE World Cup with a victory over Rusev. This week, The Miz had Rey Mysterio as a guest on MizTV. The two had a great back and forth segment leading into a singles match. Rey was able to come up with the victory after the 619.

Although he came up short tonight, the main thing to The Miz is that he is in the tournament. He says that he is going straight to the World Cup finals and he may be correct. I could see The Miz weaseling his way through the World Cup. We could easily be treated to the rematch between this two at Crown Jewel.
