So I’m going to pretend like I’m surprised by anything that happens surrounding what goes on with Becky Lynch tonight, cool? Cool.

Turns out I don’t have to pretend for long because Tom Phillips comes right out and says Becky Lynch will not be able to compete at Survivor Series. They actually show Nia Jax decking Becky right in the face, and she apparently has a “broken face” and a “severe concussion”.

AJ Styles, WWE Champion, is the first to enter the ring tonight. He’s defended his championship for 371 days (thank you very much), and he calls himself the “workhorse of WWE”. He’s defeated everyone WWE has thrown at him, except Brock Lesnar. He’s looking forward to his second chance.

Suddenly, Styles notices Paul Heyman pestering a worker for a microphone, which he indeed gets. Paul Heyman is here on SmackDown Live, everyone. There are so many people in the background of this shot who are giving very pointed thumbs-down to Paul Heyman.

He insists that there’s no one Brock Lesnar would rather face Sunday than… Daniel Bryan? I mean, that was the sentiment, yeah. Paul Heyman is looking forward to his prime seat on Sunday watching Brock Lesnar take on the second-best performer on SmackDown.

AJ still claims he had “nothing but respect” for Daniel Bryan, reminding us that not only did he beat Daniel Bryan, Bryan tapped. He’s going to beat Brock, yadda yadda, you get the rest.

Daniel Bryan then makes his way out to the ring, looking pissed. He basically calls AJ Styles out and says that AJ needs to keep Bryan’s name out of his mouth. AJ claps back, and we’ve got a brawl in the ring. Shane McMahon and a ton of refs are out in the ring the stop them.
