They’re Both On Top of Their Game (and The WWE)
The timing couldn’t possibly be better for these two to battle for the WWE Championship. Not only are these men two of the post popular stars in the company, but the current status of their on-screen relationship and storyline seems to be building up their tension to an all-time high.
Bryan and Miz are so close to championship contention that you can feasibly book either man to dethrone AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at either TLC or the Royal Rumble; you could also have the other man win the Royal Rumble setting up an instant championship storyline with a high level of legitimacy.
Now, I’m not taking anything away from AJ Styles as champion. I personally think he’s been a great champion, and I have thoroughly enjoyed his title run. I just believe that you always conclude the biggest rivalries of the year at the biggest show of the year, and there is potential for this feud to be the focal point of the entire show.
Nobody can question the skill of The Miz in 2018. The man is one of the best on the mic in the entire company, and he as put on some fantastic matches, most notably against Dolph Ziggler earlier in the year. He has been with the company over ten years and continues to be at the top of his game.
On the other hand, Daniel Bryan has never lost the love and admiration of the fans and is still considered one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet today. The fact that he’s recently just returned from a formerly “career-ending” injury only bulsters the support he has from the fans and their desire to see him succeed.
Having one of these men win the WWE Championship before/at the Royal Rumble and having the other win the Royal Rumble setting up a championship match at WrestleMania between the two would lead to a match I’m sure we will all remember for a long time.
