My Favorite Wrestler, Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard kicks off this episode of Impact Wrestling, and she’s facing Ray Lyn, an independent talent from Pittsburgh. Tessa mows through Ray quite easily to start; she even does shoulder presses with her (two whole shoulder presses).

Lyn lands a stiff knee in the corner that she turns into a hurricanrana. She tries for a cutter, but Tessa holds on to the ropes. Lyn ultimately falls victim to the Buzzsaw, however, and the champion is once again victorious.

Here it comes – Tessa has a mic, and she’s ready to call out Taya Valkyrie, saying Taya has come up with every excuse she could to reason why she’s not the Knockouts Champion. It’s music to my ears.

Tessa says she wants to know how it feels to know you’re nothing more than Johnny Impact’s wife. That sets Taya off, and she storms out from the back, even taking time to pose (you work it, girl) on the ramp before she books it into the ring to go after Tessa.

Taya is proud to be Mrs. Impact, but she’s also La Wera Loca, and on January 6th at Homecoming in Nashville, she’s getting another opportunity for Tessa’s Knockouts Champion.

Meanwhile, Fallah Bah and KM are here in Vegas. KM hasn’t forgotten that Scarlett Bordeaux told them they needed to win big this week. KM went and got the two a non-title match against LAX tonight, and he’s hoping a win tonight will put them back in Scarlett’s good graces.
