Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano
When Gargano revealed himself as Black’s mystery attacker on the Oct. 24 NXT, it looked as though WWE once again put another natural babyface out to pasture when it wasn’t necessary — even though the decision was perfectly logical.
However, one look at Gargano’s Twitter timeline, and you’ll leave wondering how this man was ever a babyface. Just look at this gloriousness:

Who does this man think he is, Batman? Anyway, Gargano has hit the right notes with this self-righteous, “I’m really the good guy” character he’s portraying, which also included channeling Heath Ledger’s Joker for a split second during one of his promos. He’s even out here comparing himself to LeBron James:

Eventually, Gargano will get his comeuppance in the form of a Black Mass from Black. However, it probably won’t happen on Saturday. If Gargano loses clean at TakeOver: WarGames, all the momentum he gained from the heel turn will immediately dissipate. That said, the NXT creative team still needs to protect Black if they want to put him back in the NXT Title mix anytime soon.
With that in mind, Gargano seems like the smart bet to win this match, likely due to some “inadvertent” help from Candice LeRae.
Prediction: Johnny Gargano pins Aleister Black
