2. Daniel Bryan Segment

Nobody would have imagined a year ago that at this time in 2018, Daniel Bryan would be the WWE Champion.  Not only that, but nobody would have imagined it would have come by the way of a heel turn that has to rank among the most shocking heel turns in a long time.

Bryan defeated AJ Styles last week to win the title thanks to a low blow, but his attack after the match solidified his heel turn.  While he did come up short against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Bryan was still in a talking mood last night when he addressed his actions in what turned out to be one of the biggest promos in his WWE career.

This promo started out different right off the bat with Bryan talking in the third person the entire time.  He said Daniel Bryan fights for his dreams and that Daniel Bryan figured out he didn’t need the fans to reach his dreams.  He also said he knew he needed Lesnar to beat the weakness out of him at Survivor Series.

He declared that the Yes Movement is dead and the Daniel Bryan that everyone came to know is dead as well. This was an almost surreal segment that really hit the mark in Bryan’s heel turn.  This new unstable side of Bryan has a ton of potential and seeing how well it has gone already is very encouraging moving forward.

Daniel Bryan fights for his dreams and last night, Daniel Bryan’s dreams became nightmares for everyone else.
