4. Spinning Heel Kick/Roundhouse Kick Combo (Naomi & Asuka)

You would think with all the random tag team matches booked in the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Divisions of late that there would be a ton of tandem moves to pick from. But there’s Sasha Banks and Bayley pulling a rebound backstabber into a Bayley to Belly Suplex, and there’s this.

While I was at one point one of the biggest Bayley marks on the planet, and there’s no denying Sasha’s talents, their tandem finisher is honestly a bit dull. It’s less “tandem” and more “you do your move and I’ll do mine right after.” But Asuka and Naomi, on the other hand, embrace the idea of tandem for a pair of simultaneous strikes — and not easy ones to hit at the same time, either.

Conventional wisdom would have said a team of Asuka and Naomi would utilize stereo hip attacks for their finish. It would have been way too easy to use a double Rear View or whatever, but thankfully we went in a different, much more impressive, direction.

A quick pose/taunt at the onset to time the strikes is followed by a spinning heel kick from the Empress of Tomorrow and a roundhouse kick by the Glow Warrior. Both strikes connect with the dome of their victim, and a victory is pretty much guaranteed.

Maybe if the Women’s Tag Team Championships ever become a thing, more teams will adopt a tandem offense. Maybe the Riott Squad can do something beyond the generic, or Nia Jax and Tamina can become some kind of “Sisters of Destruction” or something.
