2. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins Part II Feels Bigger Than Part I

Back in 2014, the breakup of The Shield resulted in betrayal by Seth Rollins and a subsequent feud with Dean Ambrose.  Lightning has struck twice in a similar fashion in 2018, only this time it was The Lunatic Fringe that turned his back on his Shield brothers, namely The Architect.

Since Ambrose turned on Rollins a few weeks ago, this feud has really taken off and gotten personal.  The feud will come to a head at TLC when Rollins defends his Intercontinental Championship against Ambrose, but in the meantime, Ambrose is becoming even more unhinged on a weekly basis.  That continued last night when Ambrose wasn’t at Raw, but instead was at the doctor’s office.

The Lunatic Fringe was shown with his personal physician, who was giving him several vaccination shots so Ambrose wouldn’t catch anything from the fans at Raw next week.  It was a strange segment, to say the least, but it helped solidify Ambrose’s unhinged, lunatic character and makes him seem even crazier than before.

Ambrose said there is no sickness that can cure Rollins and he said at TLC, he will put Rollins out of his misery.  This new version of The Lunatic Fringe brings out the best in his character and, at the same time, brings out the best in The Architect as a babyface.  This feud feels bigger than the feud these two had in 2014 given how much more personal it has gotten with the Roman Reigns situation and how Ambrose turned his back on Rollins.

Raw doesn’t have much going for it these days, but the Ambrose vs. Rollins feud is the biggest bright spot for the red brand to the point where it feels bigger than the initial feud between these two.
