The Usos vs. The Bar
The Usos are out for their match against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar. Don’t forget that The Bar and The Big Show pretty much broke up last week, so let’s see how he gets involved tonight.
Sheamus and Jimmy start off, and Sheamus plants Jimmy with a big shoulder. Jey is tagged in and he dropkicks Sheamus for a pin, but Sheamus kicks out. Cesaro tags in, and soon he and Sheamus and ganging up on Jey, taking turns tagging in and out.
That’s exactly the same scene playing out when we return from commercial. Sheamus misses another pin, and then shoved Jimmy into the corner. Jimmy lays strikes into both Bar members, managing to throw Sheamus out of the ring and tag in Jey. Cesaro lands a jumping uppercut on Jey as he tries to dive out of the ring, yet another truly impressive feat of athletic ability from Cesaro. Take a moment aside and think to yourself – is there anything that Cesaro can’t do?
Anyway, Jey lands two superkicks to Sheamus, but it’s not enough to get the pin. Jey tags Jimmy in, and the two get up on the top turnbuckles for dives, but Cesaro hits another uppercut on one, and Sheamus gets his knees up on the other.
Jimmy almost gets a distracted roll-up, but Cesaro kicks out. After a superkick/splash combo, The Usos get the victory. See? I told you they’d win, and I bet at TLC, they’ll be going for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Grade: Solid! Both teams work so well together that they’re always a joy to watch. Cesaro, again, is just bionic.
Backstage, The New Day are laughing at Miz’s performance last week on SmackDown, and Miz takes it personally, and he challenges New Day to a tag match tonight with his partner, Shane McMahon.
