NXT TakeOver: Phoenix Match Card Predictions

Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong) (c) vs. War Raiders- NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Much like Lee vs Ohno, it’s more a matter of when this match happens as opposed to if. The November 28th episode of NXT revealed that Hanson and Rowe were dealing with “injuries” following their WarGames match, but those are likely storyline ailments that the writers created to put over the brutality of the match.

Even if the War Raiders miss a “few weeks” of TV, they are still the prime candidates to receive a crack at the Undisputed Era and their NXT Tag Team Championships. Keep in mind that they did score a victory over Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong via disqualification on the October 17th NXT, which allowed the champs to retain their titles, so that factor combined with their win inside WarGames virtually guarantees them another title shot.

Hopefully, this match takes place at TakeOver: Phoenix. The match these four had over a month ago on NXT was very good before the abrupt DQ finish, so they should have no problem topping what they did in mid-October on a bigger stage with a more appropriate finish.

Of course, the writers could heat up a fresher team like the Street Profits or go back to Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan if they so choose, but Undisputed Era vs War Raiders seems like the logical match for Phoenix.
