WWE Raw Predictions: Balor And Elias In A Tag Team Main Event

3. Finn Balor And Elias Defeat Baron Corbin And His Team In Tag Team Action:

Lately, it’s practically been springtime for Corbin given how much blockbuster success he’s seen on Raw.

On top of declaring himself the next permanent general manager of the show, he’s been able to crush every one of his rivals on the roster. Last week, he targeted Finn Balor and Elias, taking both of them out with a little help from Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre.

This week, I expect the tables to turn despite Baron Corbin’s best efforts to destroy any remaining fan favorites on Raw.

I predict Corbin, still on a power trip from his actions in recent weeks, to book himself in a tag match with Lashley and McIntyre versus a team of Finn Balor and Elias. This 3-on-2 tag match will then likely serve as the main event of Raw.

While at first, the situation will appear bleak for Balor and Elias, the two will quickly find a way to pull one over on the heel trio. Corbin, Lashley, and McIntyre likely won’t be able to co-exist much longer, given the egos of the three, meaning that an accidental blow from Lashley to McIntyre could lead to the entire team fracturing.

This will lead to a rally from Balor and Elias, ultimately culminating in a surprise victory to redeem the Raw’s babyfaces before their respective matches at TLC.

At the end of the day, a turnaround like this for Balor and Elias really is the only way I see this story continuing until TLC. The Raw writers booked themselves into such a corner last week that I can’t believe there to be any other good way to keep the storyline going.

Similarly, I expect this week’s tag team match between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax to spark really the only angle left to take after last week’s monolithic bust of a Raw Women’s title segment.
