Natalya is out in the ring to air her grievances against Ruby Riott. Natalya says that she’s grown up with unbridled respect for everything about the wrestling business. Meanwhile, Ruby Riott doesn’t respect anything, at all.
At TLC, Natalya wants to teach Ruby Riott a thing or two about respect, and on Sunday at TLC, she’s dedicating her match to her late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. It’s always emotional to hear Nattie talk about her father and her family, so this one lands for me
Ruby and The Riott Squad enter with a hidden table, and BOY does Ruby Riott make the promo of her career. Ruby goes on about how Nataly ahas done nothing but disgrace the “Hart” name, and while she doesn’t really expect to be invited to the Hart’s Christmas party, she did bring a gift. When she unveils the secret table… whoa.
There’s a life-size picture of The Anvil printed on the table, and Ruby says that at TLC, she’ll be happy to help father and daughter be “closer than ever”.
This promo was so deliciously evil. Ruby Riott is really proving herself as a character, and this really landed for me when I usually don’t like performer’s personal lives being brought into storylines.
