(Shania Twain voice) Let’s go, girls.

Jeez, remember where you were when you watched Asuka vs. Charlotte at WrestleMania 34.

Daniel Bryan kicks off SmackDown in gear, and holy crap, he’s going to go head-to-head with Mustafa Ali?! What did I do to deserve this? For real. Is it Christmas?!

Okay, let him speak… Bryan says that he knows he called you all sheep, but he wants to apologize. He wants to apologize to the sheep who deserve better. We are more mindless than them.

ANYWHO, Mustafa Ali will have a match against DB tonight, and we’re all blessed. Mustafa Ali asks simply… what happened? The old DB would want a fight, and Ali wants a fight! Bryan asks… what kind of car Ali drives? Oh… it’s a size thing? Ali doesn’t need an SUV? Is it a carbon footprint thing?!

Anyway, Ali dives all over Bryan, and it’s match time!

Bryan is heavy on the offense when we return to action after commercial. Bryan tries to focus on the leg of Ali, which seems to work. He lands the Yes Kicks until Ali counters. He attempts a pin, but no luck. Bryan sends Ali flying into the post, until the screen goes hella small again, and I can’t focus.

When we get back, Bryan has Ali in the Yes Lock. He gives suspended dropkicks to Ali, and then he superplexes him. Ali counters with strikes in the middle of the ring, until he gets a DDT. It’s not enough for a three-count.

Ali finally taps to that new-new knee lock. It’s not a symbol of how good this match could have been… it’s just 8:30.

DB attacks Ali after the match on the ramp, with the new knee lock. It’s crap.

Grade: I’m grateful, but it could have been better. Like, 1,000x better.
