1. Seth Rollins wants an Intercontinental Championship rematch on Raw, which Dean Ambrose promptly refuses to give him
Last night, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose unfortunately turned in a clunker of a match at TLC. They failed to capitalize on any of the time they were given over the past few weeks on Raw, putting together a match that was more boring than it was emotion-evoking.
On Raw, I expect Seth Rollins to already be prepared to demand a rematch to that lackluster bout in order to regain the Intercontinental Championship. Rollins will deliver a blistering promo on Raw tonight on why he needs this rematch, which of course, will draw Dean Ambrose out.
Ambrose will likely deny Rollins a rematch on this Raw, saying he makes the rules now that he is the champion, not Rollins. Backstage, this may lead to Ambrose being told he has to defend his title against Rollins in a few weeks, or even at The Royal Rumble, by Raw’s returing General Manager Kurt Angle.
For now though, WWE fans will be spared from seeing if Ambrose and Rollins can pull off an entertaining sequel to their disappointing TLC clash. However, whenever that sequel does happen, hopefully it will close the door on this rivalry once and for all, leading to bigger and better things for Rollins and Ambrose as we near some of WWE’s biggest shows.
When its all said and done, Raw will likely end up in a far better spot than the brand was in before Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. It will just come down to trying to finish off a few rivalries, like Rollins versus Ambrose, that appear primed to continue past TLC in exciting ways. Hopefully, WWE is up to the task.
