WWE Raw: 4 Possible Open Challenge Opponents For Dean Ambrose

To further establish Dean Ambrose as a remorseless heel who only gives opportunities to others because he wants to see the hope slowly leave their eyes, it’d be interesting to see him go up against underdog babyfaces like Noam Dar.

The Scottish Supernova has been an absolute workhorse for WWE since returning from an injury, shining on 205 Live and, especially, NXT UK. Dar’s matches with TJP, Zack Gibson, and Pete Dunne have been must-see, with the United Kingdom Championship match against Dunne being particularly important as a launching point for NXT UK.

Dar’s technical ability would mesh well with Ambrose’s under-appreciated chain wrestling, and the match could really get the crowd out of its seat on each submission or nearfall. Ambrose and Dar would create a classic babyface/heel dynamic, and Dar could be just as money in an Intercontinental Championship match as he was in his UK Championship match against Dunne.

WWE wants to give fans fresh matchups, and they could both do this and hype up their other brands, specifically NXT UK and 205, some spotlight with this matchup. Dar has come a long way since being paired with Alicia Fox in an angle that did neither talented wrestler much service, and it’d be cool to see him as a surprise opponent for Ambrose on WWE Raw.
