6. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Andrade “Cien” Almas made his first main roster appearance at the 2018 Royal Rumble. After entering at #7, the former NXT Champion lasted an incredible 29 minutes. It was a great chance for him to reach audience members that hadn’t previously heard of him, while also reminding others just how good he really is. In the 2019 bout, he’s someone to watch out for. He has recently been seen in the main event on SmackDown Live, so it’s not crazy to think he could solidify that main event spot with a Royal Rumble victory.

7. Carlito

A return by Carlito? Now that’s cool.

To me, Carlito is one of the more under-appreciated WWE superstars of the last 20 years. The man had tremendous heat week in and week out and people hated him for literally spitting in people’s faces. He’s a former United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and two-time Tag Champion. Most recently, he even appeared on both seasons of the hit Netflix show GLOW.

Carlito has been away from the WWE long enough and even though he was always a heel, the crowd would certainly go nuts if they heard his theme music starting off with the spit of an apple.

8. Dean Ambrose

The former Shield member is currently the holder of the Intercontinental Championship, but even so, he’s sure to be a feature in the match with the possibility to mix it up with Seth Rollins once again. His placement in the match could also help to foreshadow a future challenger for his title.

9. Tyler Breeze

Ever since his partner Fandango went down with an injury, Tyler Breeze has struggled to find a place. However, it only took two weeks of accepting open challenges for Breeze to remind fans just how talented he is in the ring. Expect another opportunity for Breeze in the Royal Rumble and maybe he’ll even shock some people with a key elimination.
