The Street Profits vs. The Metro Brothers

The night opens with The Street Profits, who are as over with the Full Sail crowd as ever. They’re just dripping swag all the way to the ring, and look ready to make a statement and pave their way to a future title shot.

Their opponents, Chris and JC Metro, put up a good fight despite looking like off-brand recreations of Deuce ‘n’ Domino. It didn’t take long for Angelo Dawkins to slap the taste out of their mouths. They tried to fight back, but got dominated by Street Profits as Montez Ford hits a frog splash for the win.

The Street Profits head into the crowd for the celebration, but The Forgotten Sons are out in a flurry with a vicious assault. Jaxson Ryker drives Montez Ford hard into the apron before planting him with a sitout chokeslam a few moments later inside the ring.

Angelo Dawkins tried to stop it, but the numbers advantage from The Forgotten Sons was just too much. They take down Dawkins, and stand tall. It’s safe to say The Street Profits won’t be forgetting this any time soon.

Grade: B+, Nothing too crazy here, but the segment did its job in every way. Street Profits with a win, and Forgotten Sons make their presence felt.

Afterwards, we got a few short segments backstage. Matt Riddle was interviewed while Keith Lee was preparing for his match against Kassius Ohno. Riddle stated that he unfortunately wouldn’t be in Lee’s corner because he’s not yet medically cleared, but made sure to emphasize he’ll be watching closely.

We also heard from former NXT Champion Aleister Black, who was looking forward to seeing Tommaso Ciampa next week on NXT. He talked about getting the fight started early, so we might get a glimpse of Phoenix next week.
