3. Rob Van Dam

The Royal Rumble is oftentimes a showcase of athleticism and agility, two traits that Rob Van Dam has in earnest.

In fact, I don’t suspect many would argue with the statement that RVD is the most athletic and agile superstar in WWE history.

He’s a competitor built for the Royal Rumble match in there ever was one. Van Dam could fly around the ring like no one else, with an ability to avoid elimination that was unrivaled in his heyday.

In 2019, however, there’s quite a few competitors who could make major runs in the Men’s Royal Rumble match that would be more than game to take Van Dam’s extraordinary abilities to the limit.

Superstars like Mustafa Ali, Andrade, or practically any of the 205 Live superstars who could make a surprise appearance in the match are all competitors who have never had the chance to go toe-to-toe with RVD. They would all surely be game for showcasing their amazing talents by creating some incredible spots in the Royal Rumble with a legend like Van Dam.

At this point, it would be practically criminal if today’s amazing class of high-flyers never got a chance to square off against one of the legends who practically started it all when it comes to death-defying feats in the ring.

Rob Van Dam should be in the Men’s Royal Rumble match simply to give fans those historic passing of the torch clashes that many of us would love to see.
