3. The Usos Throw The Miz and Shane McMahon’s Friendship Into Doubt on the Debut of McMiz TV
The Miz and Shane McMahon have been WWE’s most unlikely pals, and SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, for a little while now. While their title reign is still in its infancy, this duo has been built-up on the blue brand for months.
In short, it seems like there has to be something in the works. There has to be a grander payoff to this angle than just an odd, offbeat tag title run.
I’ve speculated before that this entire angle is setting up a WrestleMania match, and so far I’ve seen nothing to dissuade me from that belief. As such, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see tonight’s episode show us the first signs of a rift between McMahon and The Miz.
The Usos, McMahon and Miz’s challengers at Elimination Chamber, are set to be on the debut episode of McMiz TV. Don’t quite bust out the TV Guide covers for McMiz TV though, because this could very well be the show’s first and last episode.
The Usos will likely use a little bit of mind games to plant some seeds of doubt into the heads of McMahon and Miz. After all, they’re not only brothers, but multi-time tag team champions. What chances does a thrown together team that didn’t even really like one another at first have?
I mean the segment practically writes itself, making it seem like an obvious direction for the story on SmackDown Live this week. I will, however, note that I would be shocked to see anything more than that occur between these two.
In other words, no full heel turns quite yet for either The Miz or Shane McMahon. This story will simply remain one to keep a close eye on as we head closer and closer to WrestleMania.
